Terms of Service
Last updated July 20, 2026
These terms govern your use of chroie, a shared chore and task board for households and small groups. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use chroie. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Authentication is handled by our provider (Clerk); you must also comply with any applicable provider terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to break any law or infringe anyone's rights.
- Upload or share content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, or infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.
- Abuse invitations, join links, or email features to spam or harass others.
We may apply rate limits and other abuse controls, and may suspend or remove access that violates these terms.
Groups and content
You retain ownership of the content you add — tasks, notes, group details, and similar. By adding content to a group, you grant the other members of that group access to it as needed for the service to work, and you grant us a limited license to store and process it to operate the service. Group owners and members can see and modify shared group content according to their roles.
Email communications
We send group invitation email only. We do not send reminders, digests, or marketing email.
Availability and changes
The service is provided on an "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Termination
You may stop using chroie and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or to protect the service or its users. On account deletion, data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless a mandatory law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
